JAVA: A devastating fire at an oil refinery in Indonesia’s Java province has left five people injured and 10 missings, while hundreds of people have been forced to flee their homes.
According to the World News Agency, one of Indonesia’s largest oil refineries, the Balangan Refinery, suddenly caught fire, injuring five people and leaving more than 10 missings.
Rising flames after the blast at the refinery were touching the sky and clouds of smoke covered the entire area. More than 900 residents of the area have been evacuated.
The smell of oil and smoke around the refinery makes it difficult for people to breathe. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Fortunately, no casualties were reported but the company has suffered heavy financial losses.
