ISLAMABAD: The views of meteorologists and health experts have come to light on the issue of heatwaves, low humidity in the air, and dusty winds causing nose bleeds and chapped lips.
Meteorologist Dr. Zaheer Babar said that a series of heatwaves had been going on for the last few days. Dry and dusty winds were blowing due to low humidity in the air, however, these winds will stop from today.
Child Specialist Dr. Ibrahim said that dry and hot air dries the inner surface of the nose and lips, dry nose bleeds, and lips also burst, which does not mean bleeding from the nose or cracked lips. That the air has become toxic, but only because of the lack of moisture and heat in the air.
Dr. Ibrahim advised using more water, steam, and Vaseline to avoid this situation.
