Former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has contracted the coronavirus, after which he was admitted to the All India Instit Former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Suffers from Corona ute of Medical Sciences in Delhi on Monday.
The 88-year-old Congress party leader and well-known economist Dr Manmohan Singh is currently being treated by a team of specialist doctors and his health is being assessed.
People familiar with the situation say that the condition of the former Prime Minister is better. Earlier on Saturday, Dr Manmohan Singh had attended a meeting of the Congress Working Committee.
He also wrote a letter to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the sidelines of the meeting, in which he proposed a five-point strategy to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
