The November agreement said the government would take a decision from parliament within three months on the deportation of the French ambassador, would not appoint an ambassador to France, and would release all arrested TLP workers. That the government will not file any case against TLP leaders or workers after the sit-in.

Although the last two demands were accepted immediately, the first demand was pending.

The TLP later warned in January that it would resume protests if the government did not fulfill its promise to deport the French ambassador by February 17 over blasphemy.

On Khadim Hussain Rizvi's 40th birthday, his son and new TLP chief Saad Rizvi had warned the government, "If you have forgotten your agreement, look at our history. You have until February 17 to evacuate the French ambassador.

Following the rejection of the demands, Tehreek-e-Libek had announced a march and sit-in in Islamabad on February 16.

However, on February 11, another agreement was reached between the government and Tehreek-e-Libek Pakistan on the issue of deportation of the French ambassador over the publication of blasphemous sketches.

According to an available copy of the agreement, talks between the government of Pakistan and Tehreek-e-Labeek-e-Yarsollah have been going on for the past one month, in which the government reiterated its commitment and the terms of the agreement will be tabled in Parliament by April 20, 2021. And decisions will be made with the approval of Parliament.

According to the agreement reached between the two sides, the names of those who have been included in the Fourth Schedule of the Tehreek-e-Lubaik Pakistan will be removed, and any activity contrary to the spirit of the agreement will be deemed canceled by April 20, 2021. ۔

Confirming the agreement, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Pir Noorul Haq Qadri had said that Tehreek-e-Libek had postponed the Islamabad March on February 16.

He said the federal minister had said that the government would raise the issue of deportation of the French ambassador in parliament by April 20.

It should be noted that Tehreek-e-Libek had announced nationwide protests on April 20 over the government's rejection of demands and non-implementation of the agreement.

It should be noted that Saad Hussain Rizvi was appointed as the head of TLP after the death of his father Khadim Hussain Rizvi. The decision to appoint Saad Rizvi as the head was taken by the TLP's Majlis-e-Shura.

His appointment was announced by the party's central deputy chief Syed Zaheerul Hassan Shah at the funeral.

In his address, Saad Rizvi reiterated his father's commitment to continue the mission.
