 Smart Lockdown Implemented in Rawalpindi, Taxila and Gujar Khan

Rawalpindi: The situation of coronavirus in the country is getting worse day by day in view of which the Rawalpindi administration has implemented smart lockdown in different areas of the city.

According to DC Rawalpindi, Smart Lockdown is being implemented in areas with high Corona Test positive rate. The smart lockdown has been installed in the areas of Tench Bhatta. The smart lockdown includes Lane No. 5 Peshawar Road, Hashim Colony Mohalla Lal Rukh Wah Cantt.

All shopping malls, restaurants, offices (private and government) will be closed in the lockdown areas. Transportation of area residents will be limited, one person will be able to use one ride in case of extreme need. There will be a complete ban.

According to the notification, all medical services, pharmacies, medical stores, laboratories, collection points, hospitals, and clinics in the area will be open 24 hours a day. Milk and yogurt, chicken and meat/fish shops, and bakeries will be allowed to remain open.

Grocery stores, general stores, flour mills, fruit, vegetable shops, ovens, driver hotels, petrol pumps, LPG points, and puncture shops will also be open 24 hours a day.

Agricultural tool shops, workshops, battery shops, printing press call centers will also be open 24 hours a day with 50% staff. Restaurants will also allow home delivery services, cellular company franchises, and money exchange shops to remain open.

DC Rawalpindi says the smart lockdown aims to limit the movement of people from areas most affected by Corona.
