LAHORE: An NADRA employee, along with his associates, was arrested for selling SIM cards to fingerprints of identity card makers.
According to Quora News, FIA Cyber Crime conducted an operation and arrested 5 persons including an employee of NADRA. Mobile phones of various companies and several active SIMs were also recovered from the possession of the accused.
FIA sources said that the Lahore FIA Cyber Crime Cell took action on the complaint of undercover sources.
FIA sources said that the accused used to give the fingerprints of the identity card makers to the sellers of mobile SIMs.
Used for kidnapping for ransom, extortion, and other crimes, and people are unaware that many of their names are released.
FIA officials said that the arrested persons include Waqar Ali, Aqib Ali, Rashid Javed, Irfan, and Muhammad Waqas. A case has been registered against the arrested accused and further investigation has been started.
