Former Pakistan fast bowler Aizaz Cheema’s father Reza Elahi has passed away. According to details, former cricketer Aizaz Cheema tweeted the news of his father’s death. He wrote on the social networking site Twitter: My Father Passed away
With the news of this sad news, Cheema wrote, “Please recite Surah Al-Fatiha for my father and pray for forgiveness.”

With great sorrow it is to inform you all that my Beloved Father Mehdi Ilyas Akhter Cheema passed away this morning at 5:30am 27th May 2021.

It may be recalled that 41-year-old Test fast bowler Aizaz Cheema retired from first-class cricket after the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy final last year. Took an average of 20 wickets. Aizaz Cheema also represented Pakistan in 14 ODIs and 5 T20I matches and took 23 and 8 wickets respectively. He was also part of the national team that won the Asia Cup in 2012.
