Quora News KARACHI: A major scandal of NADRA staff has come to light in Sindh. It has been revealed that 60 per cent of NADRA Sindh staff was involved in corruption and fake identity cards were issued to 4 million people including terrorists and separatists.
This revelation was made by Director FIA Sindh Amir Farooqi while addressing a press conference. He said that the FIA has conducted an inquiry in collaboration with the intelligence agencies in which it was revealed that NADRA employees tampered with the system on a large scale and illegally issued cards to foreigners. In this case, NADRA Two assistant directors of Karachi have also been arrested.
Amir Farooqi said that NADRA employees used to register foreigners in the family tree of Pakistani nationals. In NADRA, al-Qaeda operators made identity cards for their people while Sindhi nationalist parties and Baloch nationalists also made their own identity cards. He said that most of the employees of NADRA involved in this work were from Sindh. Apart from three foreigners, the FIA arrested two officers and one agent of NADRA. He also made fake identity cards of various Pakistani nationals including Burmese nationals while corrupt officials were also involved in manipulating NADRA data.
According to Amir Farooqi, in another operation, the FIA Counter-Terrorism Wing arrested an MQM London terrorist named Noman for transferring money through corrupt currency.
