Former Sindh Governor and senior politician Mumtaz Ali Khan Bhutto has died at the age of 94.

Mumtaz Bhutto’s spokesman Ibrahim Abro confirmed his death, saying he had been ill for some time.

According to spokesman Ibrahim Abro, Mumtaz Bhutto died at his residence in Karachi.

The spokesman added that Mumtaz Bhutto’s body was being shifted to his native Larkana where he would be buried later.

Later in 2017, his party, the Sindh National Front, announced its merger with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
