The Government has Given Citizens a Deadline of August 31 to Get the Corona Vaccine

ISLAMABAD: NCOC chief Asad Omar has said that corona vaccination will be mandatory for people above 18 years of age till August 31.

In a press conference along with NCOC chief Asad Umar, Special Health Assistant Dr Faisal Sultan said that the rate of corona cases has increased in the last 24 hours, the rate of corona positive cases across the country is 7.5%, the number of critically ill patients is 3,000.

The Special Assistant said that the pressure is increasing in big cities including Karachi, especially in Karachi, the number of corona cases is increasing rapidly, 50% of corona patients are present in Karachi.

NCOC chief Asad Omar said that many people still do not take Corona seriously, adding that the Sindh government is looking into measures to curb the spread of Corona, but closing cities for weeks or a complete lockdown is not the answer. The corona epidemic spreads rapidly after a complete lockdown.

Asad Umar said that the only solution to avoid corona is only precaution, corona can be controlled only by implementation of SOPs, implementation of SOPs is lowest in Sindh and Balochistan, we will cooperate with Sindh government to stop corona. If they want the help of the forces to implement the SOPs, we are ready to give all the forces, including the army.

The head of the NCOC said that closing the city is not a cure for the epidemic, vaccination is the only way out of the current situation, and it is a good thing that people are getting vaccinated, more than eight and a half million people were vaccinated yesterday. There is a new record, more than five lakh vaccines have been administered in Punjab alone, similarly there has been a significant increase in vaccinations in other provinces as well, our target is to cross one million vaccinations daily.

Asad Omar said that corona vaccine has been made mandatory for air travelers from August 1 and has been mentioned before, but now corona vaccination will be mandatory for people above 18 years of age till August 31. Teachers who have not been vaccinated against coronavirus should be vaccinated by July 31, otherwise they will not be able to go to school after that, because we cannot endanger the health of children.

The head of the NCOC said that from August 31, driver helpers, staff bus drivers, people who have not been vaccinated will not be allowed to work, those going to the public sector and offices, those working in marriage halls, hotels, August 31 is also the deadline for those operating buses, trains, coasters and their staff, working in tea houses, banks, NADRA offices, markets and shops.
