Alaska: A tsunami alert has been issued following a magnitude 8.2 earthquake off the coast of Alaska.
The US Geological Survey said a magnitude 8.2 earthquake shook the region near the state of Alaska but no casualties or damage were reported. The epicenter was reported at 91 km below the epicenter, with a depth of 29 km. A tsunami alert was issued for Alaska.
According to the US Geological Survey, two aftershocks of magnitude 6.2 and 5.6 have been recorded so far, while the police have ordered the residents of Kodak town to evacuate to a safe and high place.
