An explosion/Blast in Wah Factory (Pakistan Ordnance Factory – POF) plant in Wah Cantt.
A statement issued by the Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR) in this regard confirmed that an accident had taken place at a POF Wah Factory plant.
According to ISPR, the accidental explosion was due to a technical glitch.
It is believed that a loud blast was heard in Wah Cantt after which the police and law enforcement agencies started determining the nature of the blast.
The blast was so powerful that the windows of nearby buildings and houses were shattered.

A powerful blast took place near Lala Rukh area of Wah Cantt Tehsil in Rawalpindi, causing panic among the citizens.
According to a statement issued by the Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), “the accidental explosion at a POF Wah plant was due to a technical fault.”
According to sources, the blast near Lala Rukh area of Wah Cantt shattered the windows of nearby houses and shops and the citizens came out of their houses in fear.
Rescue, fire brigade and security vehicles arrived at the scene.
Sources said that the blast took place in the explosive section inside the Wah Kent factory.
After the blast, all the roads leading from Rawalpindi to Wah factory have been sealed while the nature of the blast is also being ascertained.
