Karachi: A Cylinder Blast in a Car, Killing Six People

According to police sources, the family of the victim of the blast in Mowach Goth was returning after attending a wedding party when they were bombed.

Police sources said that the mini truck driver had picked up a family from Baldia Parishan Chowk.

According to the Civil Hospital administration, nine people were killed and 10 others injured in the blast while the condition of two injured is critical.

The hospital administration said the dead included five women and four children.

On the other hand, the Bomb Disposal Squad, after inspecting the scene, said that the blast was not caused by a cylinder but by a bomb.

According to the Bomb Disposal Squad, the blast found numerous marks of shrapnel and nut bolts on the body of the truck which were used in the bomb while the blast was caused by a locally made bomb.

According to police, most of the dead belonged to the same community.
Earlier, SSP Kemari Fida Hussain had initially termed the explosion in a mini truck as a cylinder explosion..

Rescue sources said that a cylinder explosion in the vehicle killed six people and their bodies have been shifted to the hospital.

According to rescue officials, several people were injured in the cylinder blast and are being shifted to the hospital.

Rescue operations are underway after the incident, officials said.
