Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved the appointment of former national team captain Rameez Raja as chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Sources said that the Prime Minister’s Office called Rameez Raja and informed him about the appointment of PCB chairman.
Talking to Geo News, former Test cricketer Rameez Raja while confirming the nomination of PCB chairman said that it is a great honor for him to be the chairman of PCB.
The former captain said, “I am grateful for the confidence of the Prime Minister. I need the support and prayers of the people.”
Talking to a foreign website, former captain Rameez Raja said, “I have accepted the post of PCB chairman. Achieving improvement is my goal.”

Nominated Chairman PCB Rameez Raja while talking to Geo said that I have many plans for Pakistan cricket, I will be elected from the Board of Governors and will hold a press conference.
Rameez Raja further said that the Prime Minister’s House has been asked to form a chairman of the PCB, but could not say who will be the second member of the governing board.
Sources said that Asad Ali Khan has also been nominated for the PCB Board of Governors.
Rameez Raja represented Pakistan from 1984 to 1997. He was also the captain of the Pakistan cricket team and the chief executive of the PCB.
Ehsan Mani refuses to do any more work
The current chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Ehsan Mani, was quoted as saying that he has been allowed to continue working, but now Ehsan Mani himself has refused to do any more work.
Talking to Geo News, Ehsan Mani confirmed that he has apologized for further work as PCB chairman.
