A Russian firefighter has crashed in Turkey, killing eight people on board.
A statement issued by the Russian Defense Ministry confirmed that a B-200 firefighter had crashed in Turkey with five Russian firefighters and three Turkish nationals on board.
According to British media, Russian officials say that the plane crashed before landing in the southern region of Turkey.
According to Turkish media, the Russian firefighter plane was trying to control the forest fire in Turkey.
It should be noted that a few days ago there were several incidents of forest fires in the southern part of Turkey and the fire spread over a large area, this fire has been described by the Turkish authorities as the worst fire in the country.
