Tokyo Olympics: China Retains First Position With 29 Gold Medals

On the 10th day of the Tokyo Olympics, the disappointing performance of Japanese athletes who did not win a gold medal for the second day in a row continued.

China’s position on the medal table is strengthening, with athletes winning five more gold medals to retain the first position with 29 gold medals, while the United States is second with 22 gold medals.

On the 10th day of the event, 22 gold medals were to be decided, but due to bad weather, the sailing competitions were postponed, with gold medals to be decided in two events.

Out of a total of 20 gold medals, the Chinese athletes went on to win five gold medals, extending the line of excellence. They won both gold medals in artistic gymnastics, cycling and shooting, as well as weightlifting.

 The United States won a gold medal in artistic gymnastics women’s floor exercise and a women’s discus throw.

Cuba and Germany also won two gold medals each, while Puerto Rico won its first gold medal in the women’s 100m hurdles in athletics.

On the 10th, South Korea, Greece, Morocco, the Netherlands, Indonesia, Denmark, the United Kingdom and France also won gold medals.
