According to Indian media reports, the fate of a poor and destitute farmer in the Pana area of Madhya Pradesh came to light when he was digging the land to sow crops.
While digging, he saw a shining object in the ground, which he picked up and found to be a precious diamond.
Lakhan Singh, a 45-year-old farmer, has recently leased a small piece of land.
The diamond found by this lucky farmer is 14.98 carats and is worth more than 6 million Indian rupees.
In an interview, the farmer said that his life has changed since he found the diamond. With the money, he will now be able to give his children the best education possible.
He says he will never forget the moment he found the diamond.
